An exciting new opportunity has been created for someone studying to become a Chartered Surveyor or for someone who has recently qualified as a surveyor to join our Corporate 

Property team as an Assistant Estates Surveyor. The successful applicant will work with a varied commercial portfolio of operational and investment properties with a current value in excess of £175m.

The role will encompass a wide variety of work encompassing all areas of landlord and tenant work inclyding valuations and progressing development opportunities for the Council and its partners. As part of the team, the successful applicant will provide support on a range of portfolio projects ensuring all necessary actions are taken to maximise value, minimise operational costs / liabilities, and promote efficiency of the estate.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a background in property having worked on landlord and tenant matters valuation or asset management projects. This is an ideal opportunity for a someone looking to start or further their career within a progressive authority as they will be well supported and work as a team member to deliver the best outcomes for Chelmsford and will also receive the guidance and training required to fulfil the requirements of the APC pathways.
