Last week the sector came together to celebrate all the powerful women who work tirelessly to make exceptional contributions to the industry.
On Thursday 5th October 2023 Property Week hosted their annual Inspiring Women in Property Awards in partnership with Lloyds Bank. A total of 26 awards were distributed at a black-tie dinner held at the Hilton London Metropole.
Although the event was attended by an influx of extraordinary women, there are a select few who majorly stood out. Lynn Haime, chief executive of the Baltic Creative CIC, landlord and developer who owns and manages more than 120,000 sq ft of workspace in Liverpool, was named Woman of the Year. Not only has Lynn changed diversity standards for the better in the property sector, but she also works with local schools to educate young people on how to go about obtaining a future in property.
Alongside Lynn, Rebecca Moore also deserves an honourable mention. Rebecca, a real estate lawyer at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, was named Returner of the Year following her efforts to develop maternity policies at the firm after giving birth to her second child.
Madonna Kinsey, deputy chief executive of Battersea Power Station Development Company, was awarded Leader of the Year – Commercial, after she helped transform the historical power station into a mixed-use development.
Other incredible women who won awards at this year’s celebration include:
Although the event was organised by Property Week and their lead partner was Lloyds Bank, over 50 companies associated with the sector, including Rightmove and Housing 21 were also involved with bringing the event to life.
